Walks in the St breward area

The walk starts on Bodmin where tarmaced roads give way to farm tracks. The route passes the Stannon stone circle and heads west up Louden hill passing prehistoric settlements and a burial chamber. The walk then heads towards Rough Tor to the remanants of a settlement on its slopes. From here the walk heads south to the Fernacre stone circle before swinging west passin numerous cairns and another stone circle along the flanks of Steping Hill and Candra Hill. Once the route reaches the Middle Moor wayside cross it turns north passing more cairns as it completes the circle.

The walk starts in St Breward at the church and heads west out onto Bodmin Moor. The route then turns north crossing the Little Camel and following the gorge at Devil's Jump before heading through fields to the wayside cross at Tresinney. The walk reaches its northernmost point at Advent Church turning back through Tresinney and heading south along the edge of the Camel valley to the remains of the medieval village at Carwether. The walk continues along the Camel valley before skirting the Hamatetly woods and returning to St Breward through Tuckingmill.
